Sunday School: Our vibrant Sunday School program is held in the parish hall and classrooms at the end of Liturgy every Sunday. The Sunday School schedule follows the regular school schedule; that is, Sunday school sessions commence and end when regular school commences and ends. There is no Sunday school during the summer months.
Summer Vacation Bible Camp: This is hosted by TGOC or one of the other Orthodox parishes with whom we are in communion within the Austin area: St. John Forerunner (Cedar Park), St. Elias (near the Capital), or St. Sophia (in Dripping Springs).
Greek Orthodox Youth of America - (GOYA): This ministry welcomes youth from 7th grade to 12th grade. The mission and goal of GOYA ministry is "to lead our young people into experiencing the Holy Orthodox Faith. By developing a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and becoming active sacramental members of the living Church, our young people will be equipped with tools necessary to assist them in their journey toward salvation (www.goarch.org)."
Based on the precepts of the Holy Orthodox Church, GOYA offers religious, educational, social, cultural, and athletic activities for its members. Parochially, GOYA volunteers provide various much needed services to our church community, they participate in retreats throughout the year, they volunteer their services to and pray with the monks and nuns of the local monasteries (Holy Archangels and St. Paraskevy) they meet on a regular basis for fellowship, and they participate in Summer Camp activities with other chapters within the Denver Metropolia. Those interested should definitely refer to the current parish bulletin and monthly newsletters for ongoyaing events.
